Description: Unique and growing logistics provider to the Produce, Wine, Food and Nursery industries seeks and Account Executive for our Pacific Northwest branch. We offer an innovative distribution platform designed to enhance logistics, distribution, consumer demands and inventory control with guaranteed equipment, scheduled logistics services, freight forward distribution, truck load and LTL capabilities.

This position can be based in WA or OR. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the PNW Account Executive will be expected to deliver to the customer as well as the company by creating and maintaining long term relationships. We need someone who can close accounts and open doors for future opportunities. Our services are proven!

Job Outline:

  • Sales professional with strategic plan(s) that can execute sales and overall business growth to new cliental, by building long term relationships
  • Selling value added services vs. commodity driven rates to new cliental.
  • Increasing sales to established cliental, through account service teams
  • Learning our company’s strengths and applying it to the customer for opportunity
  • Work with depts., to enhance and strengthen team and overall objectives
  • Negotiate long term contracts
  • Lock down seasonal and/or short term opportunities
  • Forecast and report accurate sales projections
  • Establishing yourself and the company regionally in the marketplace as a leader, innovator, and long term player
 
Special
Requirements:
  • Degree in Agriculture, Logistics, Sales etc. is helpful
  • 5+ years sales experience in the logistics industry.
  • Contacts on a Regional/National level with Growers, shippers, manufacturers, exporters
  • Understanding the marketplace on a regional and national level. Understanding the freight market by region, commodities, seasonality, competition, and services. Knowing the players in the industry who move volume.
  • Ability to look at long term opportunities for us and savings for our clients
  • Microsoft office, Internet skills, transportation specific programs a plus.
