- Handle perishable and dry goods freight as well
- Provide excellent customer service for mixer loads as well as 1 pick 1 drop orders
- Established relationships with Owner Operators and Carrier Groups
- Established reputation within the retail, foodservice and wholesale accounts
- Established relationships with grower/shipper community
- Full Service Transportation Company, providing full loads and LTL’s Coast to Coast
What the company is looking for in a candidate:
A high energy sales focused individual with a current book of business with owner/operators and with customers in need of trucking services who currently works with fresh produce, perishable foods or dry goods
Job Responsibilities:
- Sell transportation services, Full Loads and Partials
- Call on Grower Shipper Community
- Establish relationships with Carriers
- Provide Customer Service
- Book Orders with customers
- Line up drivers for loads (owner/operators) or brokered
- Dispatch drivers in timely manner in order to meet scheduled pick ups and delivery
- Maintain accurate logs/information in order to provide customer with accurate information
- Keep up to date with Accounts Receivable
- Participate in business development, continue to build book of business
- Continue to build carrier network
- Continue to educate self on industry (Produce) in order to maintain competitive and to add to bottom line profits
- Manage shipper and carrier relationships
- Negotiate rates
- Source carriers
- Generate business leads

Requirements:

Candidate Requirements:
- 5-10 Years Minimum truck broker experience
- Produce Industry experience preffered, other industries welcomed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Computer skills
- Ability to work in fast paced, high stress environment
- Team player attitude
- Strong customer service skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task
- Decision making skills
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Growth and sales oriented

- Salary: Commission based, sliding scale employee/company split
