Description: |
A manufacturer and distributor of produce packing is seeking a Production Supervisor for their Central California operation.
Responsibilities:
Ideal candidates will be self driven individuals with a passion for excellence in Safety, Manufacturing, and Customer Focus. Primary responsibilities will include providing leadership on the operating floor and striving for 100% compliance in safety, health, environmental, and quality. Also responsible for coaching, training, and developing operations personnel in safety, quality, production, problem solving, technical and interpersonal communication skills; addressing key issues and concerns; and interacting with employees from other departments to ensure quality, on-time production.
- Ensure all employees are working in a safe manner.
- Ensure minimum quality expectations are followed and met on a daily basis.
- Ensure best practices are being followed for minimization of waste at machine centers.
- Track continuous improvement opportunities and provide leadership/action plans for gap closure.
- Strictly adhere to plant safety, housekeeping, and 6S efforts.

Special
Requirements: |
- Requires a high school diploma, Bachelors degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, corrugated industry preferred
- 2+ years of corrugated supervisory experience preferred
- Availability to work shift work and overtime as needed

- Desire to advance in responsibility in manufacturing arena
- Bilingual - English/Spanish a large plus
Compensation: $60K + DOE plus benefits
