Produce Distributor seeking a Produce Buyer that has significant experience and in-depth knowledge of the products, growing regions, quality standards, and the variables that impact market trends and pricing. The buyer evaluates procurement opportunities based on expected market conditions and delivers quality products to meet customer’s needs and to satisfy bottom-line sales and profitability goals. Organic experience strongly desired.
Looking for strong analytical skills and fresh produce purchasing knowledge. Individual will handle inventory levels, reorder at optimum time and price, and will also be responsible for developing promotional programs, merchandising, contracting and working closely with our sales team to maximize sales.
