Description:	Looking for your next step into sales? We are seeking Produce experts who have experience in areas such as merchandising, direct store delivery, or sales coordinator/assistant roles, and are ready for their next step into a full-fledged sales position. A highly regarded perishable food distributor seeks a sales person to develop business with grocery / retail accounts in the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and surrounding areas. This company is an established market a leader who handles an extensive, diverse, high quality product line. Position requires experience with Fresh Produce. This position may be a strong fit for a retail merchandiser who has some sales exposure; a route sales personnel who is ready for a bigger role; a sales coordinator who is ready to grow into a full sales position; or a produce sales person looking for a new challenge with strong growth opportunities. Position Duties and Responsibilities Include Develop business with grocery stores / retail accounts. Work with all levels of retail personnel to develop business, provide excellent customer service, and expand sales across multiple product lines & SKUs. Travel extensively throughout the area to visit stores, make presentations, ensure product handled/merchandised effectively, provide strong sales and customer support. Network with the buying community across all touch-points, including in-store visits, local trade shows, industry functions, conventions, and others. Follow-up with clients/prospects routinely to generate new opportunities and educate them about new products/quality. Provide category, product, merchandising, and service knowledge expertise to customer procurement, logistics, and merchandising departments. Work well internally with all departments including management, procurement, warehouse, distribution. Able to work in a very fast-paced environment under daily and hourly deadlines, handle sales across multiple products or SKUs, flexibility working with management on inventory and product availability. Maintain an up-to-date client/prospect database. Contribute to company marketing efforts, including providing new ideas, market intelligence, buying patterns/trends.
