Description: A California based grower/shipper/packer is seeking an experienced Director of Sales and Procurement with strong industry knowledge to join their team. This position is responsible for selling or placing product at maximum profit while maintaining maximum customer satisfaction.

Duties Include:
  • Responsible for maximizing profit through placing and selling grown and procured produce.
  • Continued development of a wholesale produce program as well as direct store delivery produce program.
  • Works with Production Department to approve production schedule.
  • Develops shipper relationships with selected growers
  • Responsible for monitoring and improving procurement metrics (distance between where produce is grown and where produce is delivered.)
  • Understand and implement the procurement philosophy which strengthens connecting consumers to local farms and improves processes though sourcing of quality product suited for home delivery packing process.
  • Develops and monitors progress of monthly forecasts adjusting strategies as needed
  • Manage all employees in the Sales and Procurement Department (currently 6 full-time).
