Description:	An established and expanding grower/shipper/packer based in California seeks an experienced Packinghouse Manager to join their team for their Northeast location. Position Summary: The main responsibilities include planning and managing the daily production of packed products, Quality Control procedures, including compliance with FDA, HAACP and other food quality regulations, as well as, leadership and the management of staff. The Packinghouse Manager coordinates reviews and supervises the personnel and operations, to optimize efficiency, ensure consistent throughput, and ultimately meet and exceed customer expectations. Duties Include: Select, train, and evaluate production and distribution staff. Establish performance requirements and personal development targets; regularly monitor performance and provide coaching for performance improvement. Plan, schedule, and manage packing and distribution activities, ensuring product and supplies are received, processed, warehoused and distributed in an efficient manner. Develops recommendations to improve the operations, storage, inventory control, receiving, picking and processing and packing of food product. Coordinates and oversees the maintenance and repair of equipment, such as packaging equipment, conveyors, compressors, forklifts, etc. Ensures that the safety program and goals are implemented and carried out; ensures compliance to FDA, HAACP and all other pertinent codes, regulations and guidelines. Daily communication with Sales and Procurement Departments Plan, organize, and manage production to ensure customer, employee, and financial targets are met. Provides day-to-day leadership and works with assigned staff to ensure a high performance, customer service-oriented work environment. Analyze production and inventory management operational and administrative problems evaluate alternatives and recommend or implement effective courses of action. Plan, assign, direct and coordinate a variety of functional specialties with overlapping work areas.

Special Requirements:	The successful candidate should have: Minimum 5-10 years Produce Industry experience in a packing or processing facility. Fluent bi-lingual English/Spanish a must. A successful performance record demonstrating leadership Knowledgeable in the methods, practices, techniques and equipment used in operating a food processing and food distribution facility. Superior Leadership and supervisory skills. Experience operating computers, including word processing, email, spreadsheet, database and other standard software. Compensation: 70K-80K DOE, performance incentives, medical, dental, 401K, vacation/sick pay, relocation assistance.
